How non-conformists move the world | Join us at HRPA 2018
Who moves the world? Well, non-conformists. That’s according to New York Times bestseller, organizational psychologist and keynote speaker at the Human Resources Professionals Association’s (HRPA) 2018 annual conference, Adam Grant.
Grant will take to the stage to open the world’s second largest HR conference in Toronto at the end of the month, to argue the how and why leaders need to get better at championing new ideas.
Drawing on his blockbuster new book ‘Originals’, Grant will explore how we can all get better at recognizing new ideas, how to overcome fear and doubt, and how to build cultures that welcome diverse perspectives and honest feedback.
His insights on unleashing originality have been praised by J.J. Abrams, Richard Branson, Malcolm Gladwell, Sheryl Sandberg and Peter Thiel, to name but a few – so it certainly looks set to be a session not to be missed at the event.
We’re excited to be at the three-day event run between January 31 and February 2 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, where they’ll be over 250 exhibitors and 130 speaking sessions for HR and People professionals based in Canada and across the globe. Not only does it have a stellar line up of speakers and sessions – but it will be Sage People’s first time there.
We’ll be at booth 739, where we’ll be talking about our latest research from 3,500 employees across Canada, the US and the UK on what really engages them in the workplace.
Our research found one vital thing was important to a whopping 81% of employees. Another was important to just 5% – but managers expected it to rank more highly. Two thirds of employees picked out another common thing that is practically free for companies to execute.
Find out what these were at stand 739, where we’ll be talking in more detail about our research, what it means for HR and People leaders, and giving live demos of our global cloud HR and People system.
In fact, if you’re heading to HRPA 2018, why not reserve a time to speak with us in between sessions?
If you’re not catching Adam Grant’s session at HRPA 2018 then there’s plenty more to get your teeth stuck into – from sessions on the happiest employers, to speakers on building an army of allies, to those talking about the next brain gain. It looks like three days not to be missed.
