What the 12 Days of Christmas can bring HR

As Christmas Day draws near, we reflect on some of the ways HR can bring joy to businesses now, and well into the New Year. And as we’re all getting in the festive spirit we’ve listed the benefits in the style of ‘12 days of Christmas’; sadly there are no gold rings.

On the first day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – trackable yearly objectives. January is a time when managers meet with employees to set objectives. Having a HR system that can track these objectives accurately against progress makes for a more productive meeting – and can help focus employees on specific areas.

On the second day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – productive HR employees; delivered through reducing the admin burden of HR processes.

On the third day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – a ‘glocal’ approach. Making it possible to align processes on a global scale, whilst observing local employment regulations.

On the fourth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – one view; encompassing multiple systems for a single view of performance management, recruitment and benefit schemes.

n the fifth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – five gold rings (ok we lied)!

On the sixth day of Christmas HR tech gave to me – comprehensive salary planning functionality. January often signals salary reviews, so why not give managers the ability to receive an allocated pot of money, plus suggested percentage increases; allowing them to experiment with salary changes and auto calculate effects on the total pot.

On the seventh day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – a high performing workforce; delivered through effective management and measurement.

On the eighth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – HR on the go; via an app to stay in control when working remotely or on the move.

On the ninth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – 360 degree reporting for senior management; collating information from every country and team, consolidating the data and reporting across the entire workforce through advanced dashboards.

On the tenth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – a better memory; employee development plans with automated workflows for review and appraisal processes and a vacation allowance tracker.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – an audit trail for disputes and conflict; making it easier to deal with holiday season ‘festivities’ and more serious issues.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my HR tech gave to me – peace of mind. A HR solution in the cloud leaving no infrastructure to worry about over holiday period, whilst being highly secure.

No matter what gifts you receive this holiday season, make sure that HR spreads a bit of festive joy.

Season’s greetings from all at Sage People.

Wait - don't go!
