Global media company Red Herring announced its Red Herring Europe award winners this evening at the Top 100 forum in Amsterdam, recognizing Fairsail amongst Europe’s most innovative companies. The Top 100 list celebrates innovation and outstanding technologies across the respective industries of Europe’s leading private companies.

Red Herring Top 100 Europe enlists outstanding entrepreneurs and promising companies, selecting the award winners from approximately 1,200 privately financed companies each year in the European Region. Red Herring’s Top 100 list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs, having been among the first to recognize the potential of companies such as Alibaba, Facebook, Google, Kakao, Skype, Supercell, Spotify, Twitter, and YouTube.

Fairsail was judged against some twenty rigorous qualitative and quantitative criteria to earns its place on the Top 100 list, including financial performance, technological innovation, management quality, overall business strategy and market penetration. This assessment was complemented by a review of the track records and standings of similar startups in the same verticals, allowing Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in Europe.

“In 2016, selecting the top achievers was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “In fact, we had the toughest time in years because so many entrepreneurs had crossed significant milestones so early. But after much thought, rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Europe to the Top 100 Winners. We believe Fairsail embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Fairsail should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong.”

“We are delighted to have been recognized by Red Herring”, commented Adam Hale, CEO of Fairsail. “Making the Europe Top 100 is a prestigious honor for Fairsail, and we’re thrilled to be ranked among such innovative market leaders. We’re extremely proud of our client and product portfolio, and aim to continue to build on them as one of Europe’s fastest growing and most disruptive companies.”
