Sage People was last week commended as runner up in the Cloud Provider of the Year category at Computing’s prestigious awards held in the Battersea Park Events Arena.

Recognized over eight other shortlisted companies including Financial Force and ServiceNow, Sage People was called out on the night along with other market-leading organizations including BT, the Home Office, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the Met Office.

Stuart Sumner, Editor of Computing, commented: “Well done to all the winners and those who were highly commended on their achievements. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged by a panel of experts, which truly celebrate professionalism and innovation in IT today. Every winner and runner up represents the very best of the IT profession.”

“Being highly commended is testament to our fast growing and successful customer base, which spans over 120 countries. Their need for a highly agile, cloud-based HR solution – the #1 HR application on Salesforce’s #1 cloud platform – which can be rapidly implemented to support growth, is why we’re receiving increasing recognition worldwide,” adds CEO Adam Hale.

The award outlined Sage People’s successful HRMS implementation at companies such as Skyscanner, Zipcar and Betfair, and comes off the back of success at the Cloudex 20:20 awards where the company was named a top cloud provider: “Sage People is a pure cloud business that is very well respected and growing fast in a niche market. It is also growing its global footprint and already making a very strong mark.”
