We’ve made some great changes as part of our Poseidon product release.

Keeping business productivity and employee experiences in mind, we’ve delivered big enhancements to usability, overhauled the absence calculator, and updated product capabilities to meet new data privacy standards.

Improved employee self-serve experience

With this update, we’ve added features to streamline navigation including: removing the people bar so your employees can see more content, a new people directory icon for quick access to the legacy people bar, a lighter color pallet, and a fixed menu bar.

Intuitive and easy to use on any device, you can engage with employees and keep your workforce connected with regular updates on the things that matter via our online self-serve portal.

Use this space to reinforce your brand, target important communications, and streamline HR processes by giving your employees the ability to update and access their personal information, from one secure system.

Flexible working patterns

For many people, work finishes at the end of the day, but for many, working shifts and being paid hourly is more familiar.

We’ve updated work schedules so that you can create flexible working patterns, provided different hours available per working day, and created various shift schedule options.

Typically used for hourly paid workers, a work schedule defines working and non-working days and hours, so you can allocate set working times for your team members and give them a choice of working schedules.

Absence calculator upgrade

Employee absence can become a significant cost for many organizations and monitoring that cost is important to make informed business decisions.

Employees may need time off for a variety of reasons, from short-term illness to maternity and paternity leave. Effective absence management supports the needs of employees, whilst providing clear and consistent guidance to avoid unauthorized absence or inappropriate use of paid sick leave.

We’ve re-factored our absence calculator for speed, reliability, and configurability so you can see a true cost of absenteeism across your business. This also expands configuration options for absence rules in different geographies to support a growing global workforce.

Security enhancements for GDPR-readiness

The new general data protection regulation (GDPR) reshapes what it means to process employee data in Europe, influencing how you engage with your candidates and employees, the tools you use, and how you use them.

We believe that the GDPR is a positive step forward to building a healthy data privacy culture. We want to help you focus on your most important asset – your people – so we’ve been adding more functionality and designing our product capabilities with data privacy in mind.

Enhancements to talent acquisition in this release enable you to comply with the requirements of the GDPR with ease.

Logging into our recruitment portals is more secure with enhanced links.

In addition, to keep things really simple, portal IDs are automatically updated when candidates login, with new login credentials sent to their registered email address.

The option to send resumes and CVs as links, not attachments, also reduces the risk of data breaches and storage on local machines to help protect candidates’ data privacy.
