Wellness initiatives aren’t just a nice to have, they can play a big part in enabling your employees to feel happy and productive at work.

It goes further than providing gym membership or paying for their healthcare. Financial wellbeing, mental health awareness training, or simply encouraging great conversations between managers and their employees can be enough for people to feel they’re supported at work.

Wellbeing coach, Becky Thoseby, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at the Ministry of Justice, will share her multidisciplinary approach to providing great wellbeing conversations.

In promoting her session, Thoseby says: “Research shows that the number one determinant of workplace wellbeing is the line manager relationship.”

3. Change the workplace, change the world – opening keynote from Dr Alan Watkins, Founder and CEO of Complete Coherence (Main Stage, Tuesday 24th March at 9:10am)

From checking the train times on our morning commute to reading the news, not a day goes by where we don’t check our phones.

We’re so used to being able to do virtually anything directly from our devices that we now expect the same level of ‘do-it-yourself’ capability at work. In fact, in our recent research report, a staggering 79% of HR and People leaders said technology is a top driver for change within companies.

That’s why we’ll be eager to hear the perspective of Dr Alan Watkins, as he explains how organizations will have to “reshape their People practices in particular to meet the changing demands of a digitally-savvy workforce who will make up most of the workforce by 2020.”

Dr Watkins—Physician, Neuroscientist, and leadership and human performance expert—will share his knowledge with the audience on exactly how HR and People teams can drive the change for a more digitalized workplace.

He’s mentored thousands of leaders to grow, transform and discover new ways to run their businesses in his 22-year career so he’ll be in a great position to share with the audience his insight and top tips.

4. The future of work – how it will get better and how companies can avoid the dark clouds ahead with Daniel Thorniley, Chief Economist at UNLEASH (Main Stage, Wednesday 25th March at 9:50am)
