The future of work is a big topic and on 14-15 June, the who’s who of HR and technology will gather in San Francisco for the inaugural HR Tech World, USA. With the agenda promising movers, shakers and leading visionaries to inspire us all to think about how the people world will change in the coming months and years, we’re looking forward to hearing from Chief People Officers, Chief Talent Officers and Chiefs of Staff from luminary organizations including LinkedIn, the FBI, GoDaddy and Adidas.
It’s a convincing line-up. And we can’t help noticing that the job titles of many of these senior executives are, as we’ve been highlighting for a while, moving away from HR and towards “people”, reflecting the ever-increasing importance of People Science in our industry for competitive advantage and insight. In fact, we recently polled 500 HR leaders across the US and UK with 83% of HR leaders saying all people decisions in their business should be based on data and analytics, yet revealing only 37% of them actually do so. (If you haven’t already got it, download your free copy of our new report ‘The use of People Science in fast growth companies’ to find out more about the movement from HR to People.)
HR Tech World events are always lively and engaging: the set-up mimics a music festival with different stages for a mix of keynote presentations, break-out sessions and real-life testimonies. We’ve already noted the existence of the Cowell Talent Stage. Let’s hope those leading the sessions have a more supportive feedback style than their stage’s namesake.
If you’re thinking of attending, don’t miss us on booth 107 where we’ll be demonstrating our global HR and People system – but also in a dedicated session on the Southside Product Stage:
