Leaders in financial services software select fluid and global cloud HRMS solution
Sage People today announced it has been selected by SmartStream, a market leading global software provider to more than 70 of the world’s top 100 banks, to deliver a global HR solution to the company.
SmartStream, founded in 2000, has over 500 employees across 18 countries and 23 offices. As a global software and managed services provider, SmartStream provides Transaction Lifecycle Management solutions and unique Data Management Services that are designed to deliver real-time and pre-emptive solutions to reduce trade failures while automating post trade processes. In challenging market conditions, SmartStream has outpaced its rivals in the financial markets sector, creating a base of more than 1,500 customers.
SmartStream’s global expansion resulted in challenges in maintaining its current disparate multi-country solution, which requires considerable manual input, lacks key international functionality and a ’mobile-friendly’ interface, resulting in poor user adoption. It has also become ever more apparent that an end-to-end, multi-country, system was needed to deal with the greater diversity presented by the expanding number of international offices and increased needs of its diverse workforce.
These problems were a barrier to greater efficiency, which led to SmartStream’s decision to aggregate their HR systems and functions into one consolidated solution that will include integration with multiple payroll systems in different countries.
Sage People was selected because of its proven track record in quickly implementing its cost-efficient global cloud HRMS across an array of countries, languages, currencies and jurisdictions. It will enable SmartStream to eliminate resource-intensive processing, streamline its multinational workforce related processes and assure regulatory compliance across multiple countries. This in turn will free up HR teams, enabling them to become more strategic, while increasing overall productivity by enabling employees to engage with the system through self-service capabilities.
