Sage People features in Gartner’s 2017 HCM market guide
Sage People has once again been featured in leading independent analyst Gartner’s 2017 market guide for shortlisting HR software vendors.
Gartner’s 2017 guide sets out the who’s who and the what’s what in the HR software and human capital management (HCM) world, and is intended as a one-stop-shop overview of HR software vendors for organizations looking to find the best out there.
It sets out the benefits and functionalities of Sage People’s global HR and People System, including employee and manager self-service, talent acquisition, onboarding, career development, succession management and workforce analytics.
It also highlights Sage People’s growing presence in key business regions, as well as its expanding industry expertise – two factors that are strengthening the company’s leading position in the mid-size market.
Unsurprisingly, cloud once again is under the spotlight with Gartner estimating that 98% of organizations in North America and Europe will have at least one HR cloud application by 2020. The leading analysts also predict that 50% of global midmarket and large enterprises will have invested some way in cloud administrative HR and talent management software by 2025.
An increasing number of companies are looking to move to the cloud thanks to the security, scalability and ease of use it offers; growing businesses on legacy HR management systems, or even spreadsheets, are dramatically struggling to cope with the demands of managing a mobile, social, and multi-generational 21st century workforce.
The guide also highlights that Gartner expects solutions in the market to leverage machine learning, artificial intelligence or interactive bots to automate tasks in the coming years. Just as employees can complete consumer transactions using AI, such as ordering their shopping or making restaurant reservations, progressive people teams are beginning to understand so too should employees be able to book time off similarly. This is just one example.
Leveraging AI is a hugely topical point in the HR tech landscape right now, and is something we’ll be discussing at HR Tech World in Amsterdam, where Sage People will be running a demo showcasing how Amazon’s Alexa can be used by employees to simplify their HR requests, providing a great workforce experience in the meantime.
Overall, Gartner’s HCM market guide is intended to help businesses identify HR software providers whose products align well with their own organization’s industry, geography and size – and comes after another year of stellar growth at Sage People, previously Fairsail. Earlier this year, the company announced that its 2016 annual revenues hit £10m ($12.5m) – up from £1m in 2013, making it the fastest growing tech scale-up in the UK, before it was acquired by Sage in March this year.
VP at Sage People, Paul Burrin says: “The scale and pace at which we’ve grown means Sage People is now a leader in the mid-sized global cloud HR and people market. Organizations are increasingly understanding that to grow effectively, they need to look after their people properly and deliver great workforce experiences for them. They’re coming to us to help them do just that.”
He continues: “We’re incredibly proud of our customer base, and intend to grow even faster than the exceptional rate we have done so at already. Now we’re part of Sage, we’ve only just begun.”
Implemented quickly and simple to use, the award-winning system enables companies to have workforce visibility on demand, gaining actionable insights for smarter people decisions; boost HR productivity by automating manual and labor-intensive administrative processes; and deliver great workforce experiences, driving engagement and performance across the business.
As the company continues to see demand rocket for its market-leading software among mid-sized multinational organizations around the world, the Sage People team’s excited to see what the next 12 months hold. Why don’t you get in touch?
