Spring 20 Elective Release Notes

A composite document covering the four releases comprising the Spring 20 release.

What is an elective release?

A minor software release between mandatory releases. Each elective release contains a number of features and bug fixes. Elective releases are cumulative, building content for the next mandatory release. Features in an elective release may be parts of a feature set. Your organization can choose – elect – to take an elective release, or wait for the next mandatory release.

Sage People makes three Mandatory releases each year, named after the season: Winter, Spring, Summer. The current fiscal year is added as an identifier: Spring 20. Winter is the first Mandatory release in each fiscal year.

Elective releases are numbered sequentially for each fiscal year, starting over at R1 with the start of a new year.
